The Moon

There are no fruit-bearing trees there, but only root crops, such as potatoes, turnips, carrots and the like. These plants are planted at the beginning of the day and ripen completely at the end of the day; at the beginning of the night twilight, the people come out of their caves and harvest these fruits, and immediately bring them to their underground dwellings, where they then feed through the night time, as well as through the whole of the following day. – The Moon, Chapter 1, Paragraph 11
