The Great Gospel of John

And thus the son travelled back to his father. But when he still was far away. The father already saw the son, and he felt sorry for him. He thus ran towards him with open arms and put his arms around his neck and kissed him. But the son said to the father: 'Father I have sinned in heaven before you; I'm not worthy to be called your son anymore!' But the father said to his servants: 'Bring immediately the best clothe and dress him and put a ring on his finger and put him shoes on! And bring a fattened calf and slaughter it and let us eat and be happy! For this my son was dead and has become alive again, he was lost and found back again! Thus let us sing and be happy!' – The Great Gospel of John, Book 6, Chapter 242, Paragraph 8
